Most furniture makers use an inner-spring design that allows for a maximum of only 1 inch of foam padding per side to be used over a 3 inch spring unit. This doesn't provide much comfort or support for the person sleeping on the bed. We use a solid 4 in. polyurethane foam core in our construction which eliminates that uncomfortable "spring" feel as well as achieving proper support for the sleeper.

Many of our repeat customers have replaced their "brand new" sleeper sofa mattresses with an SDI mattress even before their furniture was delivered.
